accessing DI screen on humminbird helix 7 MSI GPS G4 unit
I am extremely inept with computers and sonar units, my friend is even worse.
I have Garmin which I can fumble my way through, however, my friend has a Humminbird helix 7 MSI GPS G4 unit. A year ago I helped him get his unit on a down imaging screen but I have forgotten how I did it.
Here is the problem: My friend screwed up all the setting somehow and cannot get the unit back on down imaging. To help him I need to know what buttons to hit to get a DI screen. If you can help please don't assume we know anything about this unit other than how to turn it on.
I'm embarrassed to say we need to know what to click on and the sequence of each click.
I'd be grateful for your help.

Restore Defaults under the Setup tab to put the unit back to factory defaults (which will turn on most all the views available) ...

Mine locks up and when I called HBird support they walked me through resetting unit back to factory resets. It wipes out all your settings but there is no other way to do it.

Another thing, if you are doing a Humminbird Helix Update always, always, restore defaults first. Never do an update without restoring defaults first.Originally Posted by BON TEMPS

Thanks for that info. I updated mine without going back to factory resets. This could have been the root cause of mine locking up and why I could not find certain screens. HB support lead me set by step on redoing updates and resetting to factory defaults.
