Don’t think it would work for most fish I catch. It would be useless on those cats I have been catching. Simple solution hold the fish over an empty 5 gallon bucket. They don’t fall on the floor and get under the seats. Hold the line and a quick twist of the hook with needle nose pliers and the fish is off the hook.

I've seen advertised on FB but thought it was more of a gimmick but I guess it works. I still like to complain about the sore thumb from lipping lots of fish, but seldom get to do that anymore. LOL

Or pulled pork. lol Seriously, I use a fish gripper for walleye, mostly when fishing solo. I've never had a hook in my hand or anywhere else, and plan to keep it that way. I say anything that keeps up safe is a good idea.Would work great in super huge salad bowl for salad
