    Don’t think it would work for most fish I catch. It would be useless on those cats I have been catching. Simple solution hold the fish over an empty 5 gallon bucket. They don’t fall on the floor and get under the seats. Hold the line and a quick twist of the hook with needle nose pliers and the fish is off the hook.

    I've seen advertised on FB but thought it was more of a gimmick but I guess it works. I still like to complain about the sore thumb from lipping lots of fish, but seldom get to do that anymore. LOL

    Work great in The Glades fishing for Oscar and Ciclids. Those criiter have a supped up slime coat !!

    Or pulled pork. lol Seriously, I use a fish gripper for walleye, mostly when fishing solo. I've never had a hook in my hand or anywhere else, and plan to keep it that way. I say anything that keeps up safe is a good idea.
