    Default Health adventures.

Had a scare last week. Doc said looking at my ac1. My sugar average was around 190 for the last three months. And cholesterol was double what it should be. After having a stroke in 2021 he got my attention. He put me on mounjaro. For diabetes. I’ve lost 14 lbs in a week. So that’s good. Mannnn it’s hard to eat right managing gout, cholesterol and diabetes. But he said I was headed for another stroke or heart attack. So I’ll figure it out. Lol

Growing old certainly isn't for the weak. Seems like it is a new adventure every day. Mounjaro will certainly knock your appetite in the head. Hard to find something you want to eat sometimes
The love for fishing is one of the best gifts you can pass along

    "GOLDEN YEARS"
    When your gold reserve disappears.
Congestive heart failure in 2022 gave me 14 pills to take twice daily. I was drug free until then. 2 pills taken daily are free, would be over $900 for a month
Tumor removed in 2024 gave me 2 more pills taken twice daily.
Treated for acid reflex for 2 years didn't help my eating problem. 5 different doctors, no exams. 1 pill twice daily didn't help.
Cancer of the esophagus was the problem with eating.
Chemo treatments and pills since December 2024, 4 more pills in the morning and 5 in the evening added.
At 74 this heat gets to me fast.
Total doctor, hospital and drug bills are at 1.85M before insurance.

I certainly agree that getting old is not for the faint of heart. I can also speak from experience that I began having issues with blood pressure, cholesterol, and glucose levels, as previously mentioned.
Fortunately, I have learned that by using certain supplements and taking a mixture of Bragg's Apple Cider Vinegar, water, and honey before or just after each meal seems to have turned things around for me.
I am sixty-nine years old, and my numbers seem to be holding steady. I no longer take any of the typical old people's drugs that doctors seem to push on all seniors nowadays, and I certainly seem to feel better, too.
Now, I must add that doing this may not be right for everyone, so I would strongly advise discussing this with your doctor before stopping or changing any medications that you may have been on for some time.
But I would add that, in my experience, the vast majority of doctors seem convinced that pharmaceuticals are the answer to all of life's pains, discomforts, and diseases--even when there may be other alternatives.
Prayers to all for good health and welfare in the years to come.

AND I'm sure that those sales agents that visit Dr.s offices have nothing to do with that.
