Thread: Patoka Lake

Anyone crappie fish patoka regularly? Its close to home for me, I started trying to break down the lake in sections. Im pulling crankbaits and single jigs. I went to south lick fork ramp this past week and had good luck pulling crankbaits over flats and lake points. I know there is alot of stumps and timber in the lake to attempt to avoid. But had good luck and caught probably 20 fish between 10" - 12" in black crappie and some yellow bass and a few largemouth bass.

I did for a few years - lots of crappie out of Painters creek and then I pulled crank baits in little patoka river area - always did ok on the lake it’s an hour drive for me or I would be fishing it more often
