With me being 6‘ft 6in tall the original factory seats were basically sitting on the floor of my boat and that put my butt lower than my knees making it extremely difficult to try to stand up when I got to where I was going. I would have to push myself up and then grab the steering wheel and pull myself up in. This became a task and put wear and tear on my drivers control station. Also, whenever I took people fishing with me they had trouble getting out of the passenger seat because of the same problem. Well, I remedy that problem this weekend by installing a set of universal seat risers from a company called Tanks. It’s a hot rod parts company and these risers allow me to raise the seat up to 7 inches and move it forward or backwards up to 3 inches and put a custom tilt forward or backwards on the seat. The risers bolted to the bottom of the seat using 316 stainless Hex head bolts with fender washers and all the hardware is stainless that put the risers attaching to the base that also doubles as a storage area I have attached pictures so people can see if they need to have their seats, raised or lowered or tilted.

Neat idea. My seats are pretty low, I usually sit on my throw cushion for better visibility.
Good job. I bet that does help a bunch standing up.
Nice!! Thanks for taking the time to post on this modification that will make your time on the water more enjoyable. I enjoy seeing all the different ideas and modifications folks find or come up with and share on here. I have used a few over the years on my own rig.

Great post. I had the same problem in one of my Blazers and broke 1/8in 5052 Aluminum sheet into a Riser for 6 inches of increase in seat height. Made a tackle box storage pocket in each one under the seat for my jighead and BGBS type plastic 3600 trays. Buying some would have been much easier.
BabyFinster thanked you for this post
I believe I gave $136.00 that included tax and shipping from tanks and I got it in a day and a half. Very well packaged very sturdy. The seat risers weigh 15 pounds for both of them so they’re Powder coated steel and laser cut so they’re really good quality. When I sit on them, they don’t even wiggle rock shift or move.

Great info for sure. These will help those with bad knees getting up after the ride for sure.
