    Default Ketch All

Yep , no one species of fish gets a pass , if it bites it gets ketched , just like that .....
I will cross the intended victim lines like nobody's business in my pursuit of the intended victims ....
so remember that phrase on your next outing , let there be no shelter from ....the .....
    KABOOM
I could go into the gory details of guiding my bosses grandson after his personal best largemouth . the story is captivating for sure , he ketched around 30 bass that trip total , none near his pb of 6.5 lbs. though ....
BUT he had one on in that range on a short bit of line using a BIG glide bait that cost him 45 bux ....
the fish right before that that big ole bass, that hit the monster bait was a big channel cat ? go figure right , never seen that before ...
and that there big ole bass snapped his 15 lb whatever fancy line on that there fancy bass rig like a kid with a ballon at a birthday party ....
all he could say after that , was can I PLEASE come with ya again ........
onward I say and for sure Ketch em all .....no passes yawl

bro , nothing much beats an overconfident 18 year old , "experienced" bass angler and him "knowing" all about how to ketch a big fish, for some of that there, Jim dandy entertainment .....
that big ole bass bought drug his skinny self right into the lake before his line snapped .....
It was really hard not to laugh at him getting a schooling like that , poor thing just about cried .....
as I tried to act highly concerned about the tragedy that just unfolded . man I wish I had a video of it ....just saying

In order to video these episodes you would have to stop fishing and doubt you can stop fishing when you are hammering them. Sounds like a great day for him as well catching that many bass despite the loss of the big one. Takes quite a fish to break 15# line. I think drag might have been too tight on his reel. If he keeps hanging around you it won't be long before he destroys his PB.

Thanks so much for the kind words bro , but the most difficult creature to “train” in my not always humble opinion is very likely an 18 year old male human
He enjoyed it is my guess , and let me mention this , he was using some type of floor carbon , that stuff belongs on the floor …..just saying
He got broke off multiple times that day …..told him to take that fancy rig home and put some heavy mono on it …..his hook sets won’t tolerate braid either , he didn’t seem to agree with me on the mono , but I insisted it was his silver bullet for a really big bass , ya got a serious need for some strength and stretch with them brutes for sure
And his drag was way too tight as well, I explained to him why mine was set so light and how I COULD easily land a lot of the fish that were breaking his line , my 6 lb mono breaks way easy , but the rod and the drag are my best friends
