    Default Couple Hours locally

I got to spend a couple hours fishing locally for the micros .
Two lakes , fishing around the docks with a 5’2” SeaSir UL rod and a 5’6” St Croix Premier.
I swapped reels around to where I mostly used a Daiwa Exceler 1000 , with a Legalis 1000s spool loaded with Daiwa J Braid X8 and a 4# Pline Floroclear leader . 4mm tungsten micro jigs were used mostly , except for a few nonproductive casts with a micro spinner .
I started fishing with the 5’6” SC Premier, but after five catches, swapped because I didn’t like the whippyness of the SC . Definitely not a rod to fish jigs with .
I caught 12 at the first spot and 18 at the second spot .
All were small or micros, 3-6” size . All were fun on the SeaSir rod .
I caught a variety of bluegill, green sunfish , redbreast , and warmouth .

This guy was having a tougher time than I was .

Nice outing. Bird is looking for a hand out. Throw him a couple gills and you will have a new best friend. I feed them all the time when fishing lakes with numerous small gills to thin the lake out a bit. Some will eat 8-10 before they've had enough.

They are good fishers for sure, and not above stealing a few!
