Welcome! I fish Rayburn, usually somewhere off Hwy 103, sometimes as far south as Harvey Creek. Just been hotter than I'm willing to fish in the last couple of weeks. Thanks for the report.

With the lake falling fast and being down 5.5 feet as of today, the fish are still biting good. Theres so much current its really helped reduce the thermocline in the areas that we have been fishing. Most of our fish are coming from piles in 20-25 feet of water. Theres a lot of piles that have a lot of perch in them, they will fool you into thinking they're crappie on scope, but many are not. When you find the right piles, it doesn't take long at all to tell the difference, at least using minnows. You can throw a jig occasionally and catch some better than average size, but the numbers can't quite keep up with minnows. It is hot, but the pontoon provides shade for us throughout the day to try and keep everyone cool enough to tolerate the weather. Please feel free to reach out to me if interested in a trip. Thanks

Yea, I live down on the south end and do most of my crappie fishing down there due to being in a pontoon and a long drive. Most of my bass fishing is done up in that area though. Love that part of the lake for sure.
