Thread: Maringouin Bayou

According to NOAA the Atchafalaya River will start a slow rise today or tomorrow, so I figured I better try Maringouin bayou before the rise, even though the reports I have been getting have been a mix of good and bad! When I got to the first place I like to fish the water was a little muddy, but not bad…anyway it’s pretty obvious that it’s rising or about to! I fished bushes and laydowns and found a few…got scared off by bad weather at about 11:00!!!
I won’t go back to this area until the next fall in the river which is in about a week! Didn’t catch a bunch, but they were very big. I had a fun day and was happy to be out there…good fishing to all & God Bless!
