Glass guys are coming later in the week to put the windshield in. They didn't seem to care if the doors were on or not like you said.

Default Transferred All the Replacement Door Parts

Since I can only do light duty right now I put the replacement door on the hinge pins and transferred the parts from the damaged door to the replacement.

Hanging the door from the overhead lift made it easy to remove everything starting with the water barrier. I very carefully cut it loose maintaining almost all of the sealing compound on the barrier. I just laid it out of the way and continued stripping the old door.

Once all the parts was laid out I installed the Exterior Door Handle first then the Window Regulator inside the door, Door Latch, Wiring Harness, Window Weatherstripping, new Window, and Speaker.

The Window must be raised all the way up before tightening the Window Clamps insuring the window is centered inside it's Weatherstripping when raised. Lastly I carefully installed the Water Barrier making sure all the spots it overlapped into the holes where the Door Panel locks in place had plastic inside the hole.

I have to find some fine Piano Wire, Steel Fishing Leader, or other wire to carefully cut the Exterior Door Molding off to transfer it to the replacement door. The bottom Weatherstrip was removed from the old door but I have to run to the supply house to get the proper automotive grade Double Sided Tape to install it on the replacement door.

It's very satisfying to see the Replacement Door nearly complete.

It does look good. Really helps give a sense of nearing the end vs. seeing a stripped down truck.

The windshield guy said this week Monday, meaning Thursday or Friday. I'm waiting to let them install the new windshield before putting the other doors on. So many windshields have been replaced on this truck I'm thinking it will be much easier to remove the old Urethane if not working around the 2 front doors. I have a plan to the rest of the Cab repair but I don't want to start disassembling the replacement rear Cab section till the windshield guys are done.

Default Time to Install the Doors and Interior

Check it out. Carpet and front seats are installed but OH Noooooooooooo. I didn't make a plan before starting. Then I put the doors on.

So I'm pretty satisfied with myself at this point and that feeling that things went together too easy came to mind. Now I'm wondering what did I leave out?

I walk back to the interior trim pile (I can't install before the Headliner) and see the Duct to the back of the Cab. Nooooooo. It get's better, I realize the Jute Felt was not installed either. I had to pull the duct back off for that.

I don't know if you will be able to see it but that Duct Cams into the HVAC Box. You lift it up in the back and slide to lock into the HVAC box. I took a picture.

Now that this is in place and locked down I can put the carpet, Center Console, and Seats back in.

The thought came to mind wondering if I hit my head on that last spill because I know the Jute goes under the carpet. I guess I was day dreaming of catching Crappie on Ross Barnett.....................

Bud, I'm so happy the truck is going back together (still the Camper Cap & Truck Bed to fix) I have this bottle of Crown Royal that a friend gave me over 30 years ago that I told him I will not open it till we have a drink together. He doesn't drink so it was here over 25 years when a very close paralyzed best friend and I opened it after he ask for a drink out of that bottle. Since then not another taste. I got a couple of shots over the rocks to celebrate. The windshield guys pushed me back to Monday, they are very busy and usually install onsite not in my shop.

I’d never be able to remember all the parts and order. I’d have to have a million pics to reference every step.
