sometimes in a spot we frequent , we encounter a real brute or 2 ....
one bluegill in particular, the last trip was a real brute bluegill , over 10 inches pretty easily ....really thick and really hard fighting .....
none of the sunfish that trip were actually really small ones and my wife also managed a really nice red ear about 11 or 12 inches long that fought like a champ as well .....
all the bream were pretty shallow in deep water at around 3 to 4 foot deep in 10 to 12 foot of water and most of them were biting the duck tail mini jigs
and the red ear took a larger crappie jig if I remember correctly.
good times for sure
all released to swim off and do what they were doing before we interrupted them
