    Shame about the glasses.

If any of you guys have ever drove thru Birmingham on the interstate at night, perhaps you have noticed "Vulcan" a statue by the interstate on Red Mountain holding up a lit up torch...
Several years ago my Dad took some friends out night fishing, and one of them tripped, stumbled, and fell out of the back of the boat into the river. Last thing He grabbed before taking the plunge was the 12 volt light pole on the rear of the boat that was on, and for a moment it looked like He was running or something back towards the boat, holding the lit pole up in the air. Dad quickly turned, looked back at Him, and said "Hey yall, look, it's Vulcan!".
That still cracks me up - even when just driving by old "Vulcan" on I-20! They even resembled each other!

Sad, getting old, I fell out of a 240LTS Triton yesterday onto the concrete in my shop. Slowed me down a bit today. Sore spots all over, thumb useless till the swelling goes down, that concrete is hard falling 6ft to meet it. I went 64 years without falling out of a boat and now fell out of 2 in a little over as many weeks.

Well dang. I know that hurt. Concrete doesn’t have any cushion at all. Hope the soreness and bruising heals up quickly.

I fell when going to winch the boat on the trailer. My feet hit that green moss and down I went. Felt like I was in a automobile accident for a few days.

I've never been in a automobile accident but it's a good description none the less. Better this evening. If I hadn't grabbed for some shelving to help me at least get my feet pointed downward I suspect something would be broke.

Thanks Bud. I was in and out of the boat till the job was done. Last time exiting to go eat lunch I knew something was different when I put my weight on the ladder. The ladder folded up so quickly. Healing up fine, I have so much to do ahead of me right now. Interesting thing, doing my own work saves so much money over time it allows some recreational spending (buying that Champion) that we would otherwise have to pay someone else to do. Your point is on point, Age is certainly creeping up on me.
