Colors of baits may change but the results don't. Lot's of Kaboooom!! Those dark tails on the white crappie sure don't match with the rest of the fish.
some visits to the water are way different than others , case in point , one day this week the fish still wanted it moving along and were aggressive on the takes .....
BUT nothing of any size in the mix .....
dropped in the same location and BARELY moving got the larger specimens to bite that visit ....
of course I ketch with my general knowledge of the waters I am on and by feel and am not watching them as so many do these days ....
I just have to rely on I think they are down there and visualize a pack of them and how they might be reacting to my presentations .
there have been days when I looked at my screen and looked like a teenager in zombie mode on my phone , it was a for sure learning experience and reinforced what I thunk I already knew .....
so now , minus my boat and rarely getting a boat ride ,and with zero electronic help ,poor lil me just waltzes and or stumbles up to where I "think" they are, in right quietly mode and just pitches at them ....
such is the way I often approach the ketchn of crappie in many cases these days and in the end ....
KABOOM is very near ...
p.s. painted me up some minnow head jigheads and put a blue and white Arkie solid body tube on one , larger fish were within a foot of the bottom in 12 foot of water ....high noon on my lunch break , quit around 40 or so .....
and as per most trips they all went back into the lake water as well .....
AND sorry about the catfish , it was for sure an accident![]()
