    Default My Status

Well guys I am almost 3 weeks into post op lumbar fusion. First week or so was pretty rough. Some issue were completely gone after surgery but other issues remain....but appear to be getting better. Probably no fishing for me for another month.....maybe more. A week back I was ready to sell my boat...then better sense prevailed. When I do get back on the water I will be reliant on my wife to crank the boat onto the trailer and probably for few first times out she'll have to run the boat also. This is the first year in I don't know how long that I have missed the spawn. Sure did not sit well with me for sure. Hopefully will be posting again in the near future.

    Regards

Glad everything went good and you’re healing up. Hope things continue to improve and you’re back on the water soon. Heal up, the fish will be waiting for you.

    Stay strong,
when things get tough its mind over matter. Your boat is your focus, head down push forward .
you can do this, the old saying use it or lose it . Is the truth,
focus on your rehab, if it hurts push harder. Not saying it’s easy, but you have to be a warrior.
i live this , there’s always room for improvement, your mind is the strongest tool we have.

    take care, my friend .
im looking for a fish report.

Alpha ... get you a Drotto boat latch system (if your boat would work with one). Then you can just drive the boat right up on the trailer ... and no one has to do any "winching".

Good to hear from you Randy. I was beginning to wonder what happened to you. You hadn’t posted in a while.
Glad the surgery went as planned.
My wife went through similar. Took her a while to recover.
    P T helped her some.
    Praying for a speedy recovery.

glan you are healing. I know from experience it can be a long recovery period. Had mine in 2001. Took almost a tear for a mostly full recovery. Don't hurry it! Even after 20 plus years there are days it hurts. Like my Dr. told me, it will still hurt from time to time. made me a better judge of weather, lol..I am glad I did it. I don't trip on a smooth floor as often lol. good luck with continuing healing.

I was going to call you and suggest this. It came on my Sea Ark when I bought it. It is pretty cool and does exactly what it says. I'm still able to wench but this system elimates the need. Pretty cool lanunching the boat as guy that had mine tied a rope to the release lever so you can back in and pull the rope from the drivers seat and off you go. Scott

Glad to hear from you Randy, and I’m glad the news is good and optimistic also. I had work done a long time back and it was two years before I could assess and say that I had what I would have for the rest of my life. From then to now there hasn’t been much change. And you know that if you sold that boat that you’d be on a waiting list for something else in a short while. My Jon isn’t fancy but very functional and clean so I’ll keep it awhile. You’ve been through recovery before I think, so you know to find a reason to stay positive. The fish and I can wait for you to heal, but hurry! Feel better soon…….Tim
