    Default cold storage

I would like to find a long or 2 smaller soft side coolers to put in my livewell. I would add ice packs and/or ice slush for keeping crappie cold. Anyone with experience or suggestions? Puncture resistant would be a plus

Sounds like a disaster to me, I think the fins would puncture a soft sided cooler. I had one that was punctured by a cap on a beer bottle, it was only a couple weeks old

Correct. I hope that lining it with reusable ice blocks will prevent that.

Just freeze water bottles, milk jugs but what’s worked best for us are orange juice plastic bottles.

I also use my OJ bottles--if one starts leaking, I just recycle it and get another one from the recycling bin or just finish the next bottle in the fridge.
If I'm not at work or taking kids to their activities, you might find me on "The Rez" fishing. If not there, I could be in the garage working on my boat.

That's too easy--some of us (like me) have a weird obsession of keeping fish alive until we get home and then throwing them on ice. Yes, it'd be a lot cheap if I quit using my livewells for fish and just threw my fish on ice in a cooler.

I don't want to give up floor space for ice chest when I already have a built-in storage area.

I freeze water in plastic coffee cans. Can take lids off and as ice block melts the water stays cool. Works good if the intent is to keep fish alive.
