Thread: Quick trip before procedure

Headed up to my cabin as my guys up there had been slaying them on a couple of lakes. When I got there dropped stuff off and headed to meet Charlie. He gave me my choice of where to go to and decided to hit one of smaller lakes we have had great success in past and then hit bigger one which has been producing great. Turns out I chose poorly.

We hit the smaller lake and motored to spot where we know where brush is and it's basically my buddies go to lake. He is one of my Minnow Boy buddies and had me stop at only place in area that had minnows and we started in. wind was blowing lot more than where we met up and pushed our bobbers and minnows dead away from Strike zone. So Minnow boy went to one of jigs 3 inch blue with chartreuse curly tail. we just usually go to shore to anchor and can cast to spot which has been reliable for several years. I missed a solid hit and then charlie started whacking them with jig, one after another and I was not. Not usually how it goes as I'm usually one doing whacking. but way boat was positioned I couldn't cast across his line and switched to jigs similar color and was very frustrated. He had 8 in box before I caught couple NTS's.

Finally in frustration called bymo who is in our crew and told him I might have to kill charlie thru this humiliation with charlie laughing next to me. As last time bymo was up with us HE was the one NOT ketchn and I and charlie were going whacking. So he LOL at my dilema.

we moved to another spot where we do well and started ketchn there. unusual thing is caught as many green carp of eating size and legal here as crappie. so we kept three solid ones and ended up with 15 crappie. bite slowed so we went to charlies house to visit with his wonderful wife and have dinner. Good day with a good fishing buddy.

Next morning headed to bigger hot lake but skies opened up with huge thunderstorm and looking at radar it was going to keep going till late in afternoon. so reluctantly headed home. as had to get ready for finally implanting device to help alleviate couple issues.

BTW everything went fine but next day and thru weekend Coop came over and fished with Charlie and they KILLED THEM shallow. Bigun's too along with bunch of kitties. Oh well, such is life.

Doing well. Cardio actually told me to not fish for month. I LOLED HIM told him it's what I do.

Might as well tell me not to breath.
