Thread: Chartplotter Electronic Connections

For those that remove their electronics from the boat, I recommend using dielectric grease on the male threads. It doesn’t take much. I really makes screwing and unscrewing the connection a lot easier.

I don’t trailer my boat with the electronics installed, don’t think the bumpy ride is the best thing for them. I was concerned about possible cross threading until I started adding the dielectric grease.

Also added a velcro strap to secure the cables during transport.
