Default Rojo inspired me to ask about broken bones...

Rojo mentioned not having broken any bones. So I thought I'd ask about y'all about that. What bones did ya break growing up. Here I'll go first. I broke my right collar bone doing a dive roll in gym class over 6 people in the seventh grade. And in the 8th grade I broke the other collar bone while jumping off a small train at Santa's Village (it was a school outing at a theme park). If you've broken any collar bones you know how painful they can be. It was then I decided not to break any more.

Long story about it, so I;ll skip that part and just get to it. My Sister jumped on my back when I was 4 years old, yep broke BOTH collar bones. Don't know how painful it was. All I remember is waking up in the doctors office, that was 1947 haven't broke any since then.

Never as a kid and made it all the way to 48, then the motorcycle wreck. External fixator for shattered wrist looks worse than it felt. The 11 broken ribs were the WORST!

Then the ankle in April of 2022. Ran over my own ankle with my own ATV - Long Story but didn't let the boot slow down the fishing.

I've never broken any. I've been lucky.

With my history it might be easier to tell what hasn't been broken.

I've made it to 71 years old and no broken bones yet. Hopefully it stays like that.

Broke bones in my foot playing basketball, went for a rebound and landed on top of someone's foot. Sounded like a 22 rifle being shot. Years later after getting X-rays the Dr asked me if my foot had been crushed?

I don't recall having broken bones, either. If I did have one, I probably suffered through it stupidly.
If I'm not at work or taking kids to their activities, you might find me on "The Rez" fishing. If not there, I could be in the garage working on my boat.

Made it through growing up with one fractured arm, wore a cast one summer. Then at fifty two I hit the jackpot, be shorter to list what didn’t break.
All motorcycles. Think I may have finally learned my lesson, haven’t been on one in a couple of years now.

I broke a small bone in my left wrist playing volleyball on a muddy court when I was 18. Busted my butt and tried to catch my fall. I went 10 days before I went to the Dr. It was hard to ignore the swelling and my arm getting black to almost my elbow!

Dr put a cast on it immobilizing my thumb to the joint. I kept working at UPS overnight shift. After a few weeks, the x-ray showed it wasn’t healing. Dr put a bigger cast on, immobilizing both my thumb to the nail and my index finger to the 1st joint. Couldn’t work with that thing.

Dr got concerned when it still wasn’t healing and started talking about doing surgery to repair it. Finally after 19 WEEKS in that cast, it healed enough to get the cast off. My arm was so atrophied that I could take my thumb and finger of my right hand and make a circle touching them almost to my elbow!

The day after I got the cast off I shot my first buck and had to drag it thru LBL woods over 1/2 mile. My arm swelled up big time. Nobody ever accused me of using good judgement until I was well into my 20s.
