    Default Crappie recipe

I just watched a video where John Godwin (from Duck Commander) was fixing fresh crappie. He put all the fillets in a large bowl and covered them with sour cream. Then, he put lots of flour over them and mixed it all together before frying them. All of the other fishermen thought it was delicious.

Now... I am not a fan of sour cream, but I want to alter this by using Crema instead of sour cream. I have never used Crema before for anything. Any thoughts?

I would think the substitute would be fine. My daughter loves sour cream. Sometimes likes a little chili or taco with it…..

Sour Cream is the secret ingredient in several of my bread recipes, plays very well with flour.

I saw that video also. Definitely interesting. I bet it's pretty dang good. All them boys look like they eat pretty good lol. Crema is basically sour cream. I agree with the Greek yogurt comment. Let's us know how it turns out.

    The results are in:
I did not like the taste of the crema on the fish. Also, I don't know why, but the breading did not stick well. Actual sour cream was probably the way to go.
