    Default Jig, head size and color for crappie


    Want to start a trend on jig, head size and color with the styles of bait you use. I’m in Ohio. We fish more Murky water.
    1/16 with size 4 hook
    1/32 With size 6 hook
    1/8 with a size 4 hook
    All Aberdeen hooks no sickle. Preferred pink, Orange heads
    Most of the time I use 1”1/2 Plastics When jigging
    2” to 2 1/2 Inch plastics when trolling.
    2-7 feet Of water 1/32
    7-12 feet of water 1/16
    12-20 Feet of water 1/8
    Most of the time I always use two Jigs. Do you think I am using the right hook size or should I go with bigger hooks.
    Thank you for reading my post and posting what style jig heads everyone likes best. I like Bobby Garland, Moglo’s or Croppie magnets jig, heads.

    Here I use #2 sickle hooks on 1/32 heads mostly with some 1/16 in the box in case of need. That covers 90% of my fishing. I do have some smaller hooks for some of the really small baits. Chartreuse, orange, pink, white, and red for colors. Chartreuse orange and pink being fished the most
    The love for fishing is one of the best gifts you can pass along

    Pretty much all I use except in the Spring I'll use the same 1/8 oz just but with a roadrunner type spinner.

    Auston22688Jacob's molds, 1/4 and 1/8 oz. Round head wire keeper. Pour my own. Fluid bed paint. #2 little nasty hooks.

    Number 6 hooks on 1/24 and 1/32 ….sometimes number 8 on 1/32
    And I might even go number 10 on 1/48 or 1/64 …..
    Number 4 occasionally on 1/16 ….
    But you must remember a few important facts ….
    Average sizes on crappie nationwide is 9 inches ….
    And I want to ketch everything that bites , not just the bigger crappie
