Went out Friday, Saturday, and Sunday mornings on vernon lake, also went saturday evening and sunday evening on toledo. Caught 6 white perch on vernon friday morning and one 12" bass. I felt like a fool because we left the net, and I lost 4 white perch by letting them hit the side of the boat trying to flip them in (its been a while dont judge LOL) and my pawpaw lost one on the same way and got one in. The bass I got in on a chartreuse jig with a small silver spinner, the white perch I caught on a blue and silver curl tail jig. My pawpaw got one on a lemon marine jig and after I caught my 4 he swapped to the same blue and silver and picked one more up before they disappeared. Was deep in the back of anacoco creek on the north side fishing under fallen trees in the water. Went the next morning with my girlfriend and we got 9 threw one back. On the same color. Sunday went back and nothing, then put monkey milk on and picked three small ones up we three back. Saturday evening we went to toledo and saw white perch hitting the tops of the water near grass and lilly pads, she hooked into one and got right to the boat and lost it, i hooked into one and got tangled in a lilly pad and had a stare off with the fish until i got right to it to try and lip it and it spazzed a left me tangled in a mess lol. Then I caught a smaller bass, didnt measure him but probably 10", on the same jig with spinner as vernon. Using the monkey milk on toledo for the two perch. Sunday evening we went back to toledo, couldnt get them to hit but I threw a torpedo to see if any bass were in the shallow and it seemed like they kept hitting the torpedo but it hooked nothing. The girlfriend ended up picking a cat fish up when we trolled back out to around 20 feet of water, that was a cool little random bonus fish for the weekend! Any tips of tricks are greatly appreciated! I dont know where they are for sure, I just know what I can see but obviously seeing them just isnt enough. Not sure if they are hitting jigs anymore or what.
