    Default Garmin GT54 vs. GT56

I currently have a UHD 93 sv with the GT 54 transducer. I was going to buy another one but they are no longer made. The new model is the UHD2 93 sv which comes with the GT56 transducer. Has any of you guys seen the real time images with the GT 56 transduce. Are the images just so much better? There's a big cost difference, I'm just wondering if it's worth the money.

I have the GT56 at the stern and the GT54 at the bow. The 56 is better but the GT54 isn’t bad either.

if you're interested in a GT54 I have a couple of new ones from having bought multiple head units that came with GT54 transducers. Send me a PM if you’re interested.

Thanks, but I have a GT54 from my current UHD 93SV. I'm actually looking at a new UHD2 93SV and it comes with a GT56 transducer and a significant price increase. I use the 93 for livescope on the bow so I didn't hook it up. I'm looking to upgrade my console unit and was planning to get another UHD unit which is no longer available. The UHD2 units are double the cost $600 v $1200. The UHD2's have a higher pixel count plus the GT56. I don't mind the extra cost...if I get something for it.
I've also been looking at the Lowrance Eagle 9 with the tripleshot transducer. My new boat came with an Eagle 5. It's just too small, I like running a split screen GPS/downscan and it's loke looking a lake map on a postage stamp. It's got to go.
