Default Day started slow but had last minute KABOOM

Drove the 45 minutes to where I KILLED them day b3fore expecting more of same. But fished for hour along same shore but down further and caught only one. Drove home stopped along way to visit my fishing buddy Charlie and his wife who is the most interesting person. Has Kratom a buddy at the ours had given me which relieved my back pain for several days. Had some for her to try.

Tried LONG branch which had been hot for last month where b6mo and his family had torn 5hem up and I had last weekend. Visited with guys on bank and they both had a dozen kept including some real nice ones.

Went back to my place and sat on heating pad for good while. Messed around there for couple hours napping and 5hen headed back to lake I was at in morning thinking with sun up and warming shallow water surely it would b like yesterday. Not quite as in hour or so only caught 5.

Went home but such a grt day had to hit my home lake and KABOOM HAPPENED AT MY HONEYHOLE. shame it turned on after the guys from Jeff city and another buddy went home earlier in day.

Oh well it was crazy good. This time instead of a bobber and couple ft of line it was go to bottom and bring it up a crank or 2. Sometimes as soon as it hit bottom and you tightened KABOOM. ENDED UP w limit on this lake in half hour.

There is a couple bushes close to shore where I shorten line to a foot and move it around and caught 4 one after another.

Like I said fortunate to have so many options.

All different kinds of ways to catch em. I remember mark twain lake, Richard used to tell me to let it sink to the bottom, give a quick lift if you feel weight yank it up. He was usually right. I still think the bobber method worked the best for me. Nice catch, and great pics!

Everyone has their favorite method and I switch it up. Sometimes you need bobber to keep bait at certain depth and they want it dead still or your in shallow wTer. Tight line when your right over brush when 5hey won't come up to your jig/minnow.

Tight line is my ho to as y can adjust depth on retrieve and get reaction bite. All tools in your arsenal.
