That will make a father proud. Good job.

My middle son Stefan has always been an ok hunter and occasional fisher dude but not only when he was coming to my cabin to deer hunt or pretend to turkey hunt. Started last summer when I brought up a neighbor at LSL who is lil older than myself and taught him how to fish on bank/docks. both struggled while I caught fish after fish but both of them suddenly GO IT and started ketchn. This spring he actually came up with me just to fish and KABOOM! He came to my honeyhole and went crazy.
he had done well night before and when I came back to cabin after slow motion tumbling into lake and banging my head he asked you Ok Dad? when I said yes and said they were biting and got hurt when I bent over trying to grab bouncing crappie BAM he was out the door as he mostly heard THEY WERE BITING and knew exactly where I was. LOL
He went to my spot and got his limit quickly. Mind you no one around was ketchn hardly any as lake was way up with constant rain and cold fronts. Then next day went back and caught another. Three days in a row with his limit I was just so darned proud. Especially when I overheard him telling his friends back in STL he just watched his dad and did what he did!
Now since I am leaving cabin to him glad he is in the family bidness of ketchn krappie!

Glad he is getting after them and enjoying it. Congrats on nice fish. And glad you didn't bounce too hard off the rocks!![]()

Great to see you got him going in the right direction. Better for him to have a later start on getting the fishing bug then not at all. Mine has been fishing every day off he has. Calls the day before and asks where we are going tomorrow. His son is 3 and can't wait to get him going. Then we'll have three Jim's terrorizing the fish.
Looks like he is doing just fine.
Good job!
