    Default Had to….

Couldn’t stand it any more. Packed up a couple of rods and went to my friend Ed’s pond. About 8 acres and just over 20 years old. Stocked way back but I’m sure of anything after that. Fish are bedding here and there but mostly clouds and couldn’t see much. Fished about an hour and found the silence refreshing and the geese that never shut up a bother. Caught a small gill as a first fish, maybe 5” but probably less. Next was a juvenile bass about 9” that showed off some along the way. This was the first shoreline I’ve walked in a very long time. Started getting some gills and like magic, it seemed like they got a little bigger as I went. All totaled was two bass with the second a little bigger, and seven gills that had that pretty blue chin I’ve seen in your pics. Also just the recharge I needed, been too long. Here’s some pics and I wish I could capture the quiet and peaceful feelings I enjoyed. It’s good to be back….

I used a 6’ Trout X and a 1000s Legalis with 4.2 lb braid and a white Rooster Tail. Could’ve brought nothing else and been fine.

The tug is the drug. Nice looking fish and pretty lake. I know you've been busy and needed a day like that to loosen up your casting arm. You need at least a couple trips a week is my recommendation.

You’re right Jim. I’m ready for my diet of fishing trips to get some better.
