    Default Lake Lemon, 4/28

Air temp started at 8am 58, then by noon 75. Cloud cover evaporated by 8:30 to sunny. Water temp at noonish was 65. Wind 3 mph to no more than 5 mph at times creating a ripple,,started in the east and gradually shifted to ESE then more South. Water color heavy stained dark greenish to slight medium muddy in areas..and trolling speed was 1.4 to 1.7 in 10 to 14’ of water and best color was a chartreuse colored PICO or a bandit. 3.5 hrs and I limited out with largest at a even 15” and as I cleaned them 10 were males. Eggs not ready to spawn yet with long way to go. Fish were agressive today slaming the cranks and several swallowed the back hooks..

I couldn’t find this color in Pico’s website as PICO changed it..to either Green Machine or Grenada Green. It is more Green Machine. Bandit and Arkie has some super close and full chartreuse that crappie slammed also. Chance of storms and rain next 4 days might change lake conditions again.

One of my favorite baits to use also in muddy water is a chartreuse tube jig in a Road Runner jig head with the tube injected with crappie nibbles. Works great in stained and muddy water.

24” x 48” 3/4thick plexiglass table with folding legs, Standard 30” high, but cut 1” pvc pipe to slide on bottom of legs to raise to 40” tall when I need to clean fish. Easy to keep clean.
