After this mornings short trip I decided it was time to re string ( I knew it was time but was procrastinating). While I was doing that one of my buddies was going to Wally World and I had him pick me up a Berkley C-Series Crappie pro rod 7'2", he grabbed one for himself as well. I have two 6'6" ones that I like a lot. Anyway after he got done setting up his new rod he stopped at my house, I set up mine quickly and off to the water we went. Wind at our backs was the only way it was tolerable, especially for casting. The bite was not great compared to the earlier In the week trips, like a fool I decided to change up my jig and color from what previously worked, ( why i don't know). Anyway, we bounced around a bit and he out fished me (he didn't change up). I think he brought home about 8-10 fish and only brought home two nice ones to make a fresh fillet o fish sammich. Different water from this morning. The fish are bigger at this lake Even though it's on the same property and only about 800 yards from the water fished this morning

It sure did blow here yesterday. I'm surprised you could hit the water with your lure!
I think you caught every species in the pond yesterday.
Yes, I was talking to myself; sometimes even I have to ask for expert advice.
Great post! Thanks for sharing
