Good day….. slow bite

Me and my father in law went to the Pearl River today. I had never been on this part of the river in a boat but it was a great experience. Seeing it is something amazing each time. Got to hear a lot of stories about his dad. Great tips for my future adventures. He passed down some good spots so that I could fish them like him and his dad had for years. I’m new to crappie fishing and haven’t got my bearing’s about me. Father in law caught 4 crappie that were keepers and about 7 or 8 little ones he threw back. I caught 2 bream and a baby crappie…..haha. The main struggle was the river rose around 1 foot just while we were out there and had rose a few feet the day before. But what a good day! Did not get a good pic of the final haul.
