Yesterday for the first 1/2 hour right at daylight couldn’t keep 2 poles in the water at the same time. Cast out set the one pole down and before I could get the other baited the first float would be under. Around 9:30 the fish stopped biting.

Is the water still murky to muddy? It was Tuesday when I was there. Got 5 keepers that day.

My buddy Craig and I shore fished a few areas Thursday. The clarity was a little murky yet, but not muddy at that point. We caught a few dozen or so, but all were small. Translucent light pink was the bast color. Was hoping for some good keepers as the late Fall inventory in the freezer is getting very thin.

Unless your fishing from a boat or wearing waders water is to high from most spots. It will be at least a week before the lake is fishable from all the rain that came down. It came up 2 feet since yesterday.

The lake is unfishable unless your using a boat. Water is up to the top of all ramps. A good 5 foot rise in water level if not more.

I went up to Mahaney ramp to launch yesterday and it was closed. Blocked off with sign and cones. I ended up going over to Mosquito Lake and launching there. We got 27 crappies and 4 gills. A lot more gas than I had planned for but still a nice day fishin.

Everything is closed. It came up six feet this past week. Water is in the parking lots along the causeway. Pymatuning is up a good 2 1/2-3 feet.

Lake is currently 12 feet above normal. All access areas are closed. If any one has reservations for camp grounds call and check if your site is effected because they closed some sites due to eagles nesting near by.

Mahaney ramp is finally open so I thought I’d go fish the lake today. Still pretty high but draining fast. Fishing was tough. Put a dozen crappies in the box and three nice gills. Bad news is the eggs looked rotten again this year. Eight had eggs that looked terrible. One still had good mass. I’ll find out more next time I get out. If you’ve found different, please post it.
