Default Panfish Super Slam (7 pictures)

At least that’s what I’m calling it .
Between the lake and the mill creek , I caught seven different species of panfish today .
All caught on my micro jigs , both the new silicone leg size 10 lil Nasty tungsten jigs , and at the creek , my rabbit fur tail , size 14 streamer tungsten jigs in black . Dark olive was the color most productive at the lake .
I never got around to trying the silicone leg jigs at the creek, but did through a jig spinner for thirty minutes with only a couple bumps.
I lost four jigs today including having a fish at the creek break me off on a rock . The others were lost to snags .

The Super Slam includes , Shellcracker , Bluegill, Green Sunfish , Warmouth, Crappie , Redbreast , and a spotted Sunfish ,aka StumpKnocker.

I got to the lake around 10:30 this morning and left the mill creek a little before one thirty , three hours including about twenty minutes drive time between honey holes .

And some of the fish were decent size especially the shellcracker and one of the bluegills.
All were a blast on my 5’2” SeaSir Stream UL , Soare XR 500spg combo and 2# Ande Tournament line .

Very nice. I haven’t seen Ande Line mentioned in a while. Great saltwater line.

Ande in 4# was my go to line years ago , first in clear and pink then I went to the blue “Back Country” . The first two are a little wiry , the back country softer .
It’s a premium nylon monofilament line IMO .
It wasn’t until recently I got brave enough to fish the 2# Tournament. The Tournament line is made for people fishing for line class records in IGFA records . Diameter is 0.12mm
It’s made to break at less than the stated pound test .
In my unscientific testing using a rifle trigger spring gauge , the 2# breaks consistently at 1.75# .
I like that it is a soft line that does have some stretch. And seems to be abrasion resistant too .
I’ve lost three fish using it , but at least two of them I would have needed a lot heavier line test to manhandle them in .
The other one lodge under a rock .
It’s a fun line to fish that gives me some great casting distance.

Looks like one of my mixed bag days on the river, I know the smile is big today. The cracker looks to be a nice one and probably tough too. I’m counting the days…….
