    Default 4-16-25 Weekly Meetup

My fishing buddy and I met at the first boat ramp around noon and fish until just before five on a beautiful sunny low 70’s day .
The lake level had dropped almost four feet since last week .
I ended up catching 27 total , a mixed bag , spotted bass , green Sunfish, bluegills , shellcracker, and a single crappie just before we left .
I did catch three gills on my micro jig spinner in a chartreuse/orange , but most were caught on micro jigs , about half on my rabbit fur tail jigs and half on a junebug colored silicone leg jig I took off my jig spinner . I’ll be tying some more of these .
They are similar to some jigs Skeetbum sent me , thanks Tim ! Similar pattern but smaller .
And they cast great on my 5’2” SeaSir Stream UL with 2# Ande Tournament line .
My buddy said he caught eleven but I think he lost count . I think he caught more than that, including a couple nice UL bass .
Great times with a great friend.

You guys had some fun, those are some good numbers and nice fish. Glad the jigs had an effect. I’ve got some times like that coming, sooner rather than later I hope.

You will, Skeet. Get settled in and start checking out some new water. Always something to look forward to.
