I drove out to Arrowhead Landing boat ramp. It was way too breezy to put my little boat out. May try again today. [emoji[emoji6]

I’m not familiar at all with this body of water. I could use some guidance.
Here are some pics of the Bay.

How are you intending to fish

I fish the area a lot, live about 4 miles away. The bay is nothing to mess around with in a small craft. Especially with a north or NE wind. I’ve seen it look like an ocean.
I run a 16’ Jon with a 20hp and I still pick my days.
Are you on a trailer? If you can hand launch I would put in up limestone creek closer to moorseville. It would avoid you having to cross the bay. At summer pool the water up there is very fishable and you have more wind breaks. I catch fish all year up there, but it can be a little slow in the hot summer. I was up there yesterday and it was almost still. The bay was rough. I even saw a guy in a canoe with no motor at all.
if you want to fish the ramp side, just turn right and start fishing lay downs. I catch crappie all year from the ramp to the Tennessee. Admittedly the bite normally starts around the first island, about 1/4 - 1/2 mile from the ramp. The west side bank always produces more for me.

Thank you so much! This is the info I was looking for. I actually have a small boat (like a coleman crawdad). It is on a trailer but I can pull it if there is a path. I'll try to post a pic.
Is there a good place to put in at Limestone Creek?
I’ve never actually driven to it but I see vehicles often at the “gravel bar”. I would probably try there if I was hand launching. It’s the small red dot on my pic. The big red dot is arrowhead landing.

That’ll be much better for you. Won’t be far from the pits at all. You shouldn’t have any trouble putting in there.

Thank you very much! This is very helpful! Is this the area where the gators normally are seen? Just want to be prepared to scream. Haha
S10CHEVY haha
I’ve seen gaters in all of the pits and the main creek channel all the way til it opens up to the bay. It’s kinda fun to go at night and look for their red eyes. Nothing to be scared of but give them the respect they deserve. Don’t feed them or corner them. I usually find a new area to fish if I run into the big guy. But I’ve fished near him several times and had no issues.
Here’s a pic from last summer of the big boy. He is every bit of 12’ if I had to guess.
