Nice job. Sounds enjoyable

3.5 of rain and a drop in temperature this week . It was 39 this morning but climbed up to 70 by the time we finished today at 5pm .
We met up around noon at a designated boat ramp to an extra three feet of lake and a pretty good breeze out of the north , we expected an SSE wind around 2-10 .
The temps warmed and the wind shifted and let up about an hour into our fishing making it the nicest weather day of the year so far .
I fished my micro jigs using one of four combos , from a couple of 52 SeaSir ULs , a 56 Palms Pinwheel , and a 63 Abu Garcia Mass Beat III . Reels were a Shimano Soar XR c2000sg , a Soare XR 500sspg , a Soare bb500spg , and a KastKing Kestrel 1000 .
All were loaded with 2# Ande tournament line except the Kestrel had 2# Floroclear .
Most of the gills and green sunfish were small to medium, I caught a 17 1/4 spotted bass on the Palms Pinwheel that gave the best battle of the day . Next was a 7 shellcracker that stuck me while I was try to take a picture and self released itself . Typical attitude of these fish ..
The colors are starting to show on some of these .
Except for the bass, I chose my pics for their colors .
My buddy caught nineteen , I fished with thirty four .
The bigger the Bend , the Wider the Grin !
The colors on the first gill are amazing. I think it could be a bluegill/ Longear hybrid. Cool fish...
