    Default Another Wrap For Continued Learning


    I'm using the same wooden dowel as before, just slid it down a bit. This time I wrapped it with red thread and actually started the cross wraps. The red thread started separating in places so to fix it, take what cross wraps I had done off completely, straighten the red wraps back like they supposed to be by burnishing them lightly, then put som color preserver on the red threads sorta heavy so it would soak through and hopefully secure the threads to the dowel.     In picture one you can see the red back ground is already on and I started wrapping the dark blue
    Picture two, the blue thread is removed.
    Picture three is the first heavy soaking coat of color preserver.
    Picture four is showing the last wrap to the right of this one.

    And the second coat of color preserver. Should take a couple hours to completely dry. So sometime tomorrow I'll get back on it. I have my annual check up with the VA including Lab work ups, and I'm hoping to wet a line or two after. Taking a jig box with some hand ties and a couple plastics. Won't be but a short quick trip, but we will see. Thank you all for following the adventure.

    This rod is going to be these colors, I'm hoping to do a Chevron pattern with them. We'll see how it comes out..
