Thread: microfishing with the Mifine Ghost Blade

I tried something new today and hit a little creek less than mile from my house, looking to sample the local minnow population. For the small target species, I brought tthe Mifine Ghost Blade (rated for 0.2-0.6g lures) with a Tsurinoya Kingfisher 1000 spooled with 2.3lb. Varivas Lemoni ester. Lure was one of those tiny Dovesun fly spinners gilchaser recommended in a previous thread.

The creek chubs were hungry, apparently, and I caught a quick half dozen in the 4" inch range. Also got some sort of shiner (I think).

Anyways, it was a fun little 20 minute adventure. The rod is great on these mini monsters. Even though it has a pretty slow action (similar to the Imprimi), I could feel the hits and wiggles from the appetizer-sized catches.
