    Default a different state park

We also visited dinosaur valley state park the day after Meridian , the challenge there was to ketch just ONE fish ! Crystal clear river water and literally hundreds of people there on spring break .
The good news is this , I managed to ketch 2 bream , one longear and one bluegill .....
We waded into the ice water to put our feet where them big lizards once roamed and stayed a couple of hours .....sure is a pretty place
been maybe 10 years since my last visit , I do know this much , if that water wasn't so cold and we had more time , I would have ketched me a couple of hellgrammites , in there NOTHING that compares to those critters as bait in that spot .....just saying

That's cool. I've never been anywhere like that. Good pics showing the foot prints.

Looks like it would hold a smallmouth or ten at the spot in picture. Dino tracks are cool!! I've used hellgrammites back in the day and they catch everything that swims. Don't catch them anymore but carry some plastic imitations in my bass tackle bags.

in some of the less traveled spots along the Paluxy river there are lot's of "spots" . it also has good channel cat , but the swimming holes and such are tough to ketch in , downstream there are lots of huge boulders in the water and it isn't near as swimming friendly and I used to go down that way and hammer on them ......the last 20 years or so the crowds have become terrible though ....I was super happy to even ketch anything in that ice water that day in that hole for sure ....
