First website to show up on a Google search for "Crappie" .... and that should tell you all you need to know about how popular it is & how well run it is. I'm just glad to have been a small part in making it that way.

I had been a Bass fisherman for many years, and enjoyed catching them, fishing tournaments, etc…. But the more time went on, I realized how many unfriendly, grumpy people were in those tournaments / on those websites. I’d rather someone just not tell me anything, than tell me a lie to throw me off of catching fish.
I started trying to catch Crappie when I moved back to VA. There is an electric only lake near me (Diascund Reservoir). I joined a Facebook group called Chickahominy Crappie, and met Wood Duck (Mark Wood). He didn’t just tell me what I should fish with. He shared where I should fish, how deep, what size line, what size hook, etc, etc, etc…. He invited me to fish his annual Crappie tournament, and I met some great, super friendly people not only from Chickahominy Crappie, but also Richmond Crappie Club and some others. I struggled. They were encouraging. I caught my first one and immediately was met with a “There ya’ go!” and a few other words of encouragement. This site was recommended to me that weekend, and I joined right away. I’ve found just as friendly a crowd here as I have on the water. I’ve learned a lot. I’ve shared anything I can to try to give back. I may not be a seasoned pro at Crappie fishing, but I’m happy to pass on the lessons that have been taught to me, as well as those I’ve learned on my own.
Happy to be here. Appreciate you all very much. Thank you.
All the best,
Glenn
