Db you never cease to amaze me. I never that about fish using the pipe as an escape route. Actually I never knew a pipe ran under the road but make sense. Thanks for the info

I fished the Ditto boat harbor back slough after work yesterday. I returned a dozen shorts, gills, strip and bass but only 5 Crappie that would measure. TVA dropped the water over the last couple days and there was only water 18 to 24 inches deep. The laydowns on the north side were in 6 inches of water. Two weeks from now, if that happens, the Crappie will stay, but this early in the spring they typically leave via the pipe under the road back into the boat harbor.
Hoping for no tornados or damage, but if Wheeler could fill back up after a heavy rain, then drop back down again in a couple weeks it would be perfect for my kayak hunting the skinny water. Visibility was around 12 inches and 68 degrees when I left at sundown. None of the Crappie were wearing their tuxedos yet.
