Fishing, best rehab there is!![]()
HaHa: 0
one of my nurses in rehab is bigtime crappie and spoonbill fishergal and agreed that really what I needed was to feel the THUMP to jumpstart my heart and complete the rehab.
My cabin buddy met up and did a lot of maintenance ketchup but you KNOW I hit the docks and bank when I got there and man did I FEEL THE THUMP! Woo Hoo!
first day took a couple of visits but did ketch a bunch as did my buddy. oo
Then next morning at daylight we really got into them but just as he said at 9 am it was over. had a dozen in morning but went back and finished our limits at another area.
Jig and pig was the right stuff and I caught more and bigger than other folks where we were. Back was aching tho bigtime for standing on hard surfaces so took iboprofen and took a break. again went back later which isn't very far and gotrdone! jig color that worked best was a inch and a quarter black head, orange body and chartreuse tail with small minnow trailer.
reconnected with our wonderful neighbors and a couple of folks who we met last summer when they were coming up from Columbia and whacking them good as well.
When you've coded on the table a couple of times makes you appreciate being back out doing what you love so much more! God has blessed me with a wonderful wife, ex wives who are part of the village, family, grandkids and many many great friends. plus a sport that as Richard gene says is second to none!
LIFE IS GOOD!

Great to hear that you're getting back out there doing some catching. No better therapy than catching some slabs.

Great job Keith, I am down to two more weeks of rehab myself..... hope to be back up at Perry in about a month. Got the water pump impeller replaced and new tires on both boats. Hoping for a trip Thursday, family responsibilities for St. Pat's, then a PET scan Tuesday (making sure that dang cancer stays away) rehab Wednesday then praying to fish Thursday, ripnlips has me fired up for Stockton. Keep up the good work my friend.

Good stuff! I like your rehab nurse’ way of thinking! Prayers for continued healing and success on the water.
