I didn't check the temps because I was bank fishing, but I cleaned a couple from our Owen County pond yesterday and one of them had eggs.

buddy caught 3 from pier at local lake a few days ago and all were full of eggs. Crappie can have eggs in them year round, have caught them thru ice in middle of winter with eggs.

I have to service my engine and then check air pressure in tires,,check wheel bearings,,,,and will be ready to hit the water as will have all that done by tomorrow evening. Only thing I am not fighting will be wind…. These fronts rolling thru…have really good air temps,,but have a lot of wind with them. I hate fighting the whitecaps.

I was able to get the boat ready last weekend and have been out Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday this week. Water temps were from 41 on the St Joe river on Tuesday to as high as 46 degrees on Lake Manitou yesterday. This sunshine and warmer weather is helping to warm the shallows.

Found enough for a couple of meals. They were pretty shallow for the most part. We picked up some suspended 4-5' down over 15, of water. Just felt good to get out even though I was wearing long underwear shirt, hoody and rain jacket to keep the wind at bay.
