Default Hope all of ya'll have been doing great!!!!

I see things ain't changed much round here. Specks still here, Wannabe is still, well, he's Wannabe and a Gewber. LMBO

Life has just got busy for me.

Grandkids 4 and 5 years old still living with us. We had custody for 2 years but daughter got her act together.

She has custody back but they liver with us for now.

I moved to Scott County, North of Morton 4 years ago. Bought 42 acres out in the sticks on a dead end road

I own my company now so it's work, work, work.

HOPE things go right where I can retire in a couple years, see how things go.

BIGGEST THING that's happened in my life is 2 fold. I had a stroke last January but it was minor and I lost a touch of my peripheral vision.

Laying in that Hospital bed for 4 days, I dedicated my life to Christ.

If you're friends with me on FB, you'll see my messages each day. Words our Father in Heaven gives me to share to try and helps others life.

Yeh, I even go to church, life classes and do prison ministry Who'd have ever thunk that LOL

I’ve been waiting for 5 days now for a single response, Don. Not one yet. Things are not the way here the way they were 10 years ago. Sometimes a hundred replies to a single post. I’ve been lingering around here for nearly 15 years now but rarely have much to say. I just like to read everyone’s posts. Don, I had wondered where you went off to. Glad you’re still on the right side of the dirt.

Don I’m very happy to hear of your decision of turning your life over to Christ and doing great things for others. Keep up the good work!!!

Good to hear your doing better it seems. We’re not friends on Facebook but I might try and look you up if you don’t mind? You don’t know me from Adam so I understand if you decline. Praying you get better everyday.

Dang. I completely missed your post. Ya know, I’ve been thinking you were at the end of a dead end road all this time. Glad to see now your address matches now.

And welcome to the family brother.

A lot like the old Wannabe... except with fewer bad words. And Karate chop action. But, yes, still purtier than you.

Life changes for sure. 33 months ago I spent 5 days in ICU with congestive heart failure. Life was hard and slow getting back to what I did before. 29 months ago I had problems swallowing, doctor treated me for acid reflex, didn't help. Couldn't swallow the meds the heart doctor prescribed. Had been to 3 doctors by June 2024 with no relief. Last week of June 2024 I sat on a grocery store floor trying to figure out how I got there and how long I'd be there with my leg shaking violently. A trip to ER showed there was a tumor sitting on my left leg control. The doctor and his staff worked hard getting the tumor removed as quick as possible. The swallowing problem was still there. He sent me to his doctor friend. She's the 4th doctor to tell me it's acid reflex. He sent me to West clinic for test. They sent me to Gastro One, the 5th to say it was acid reflex. Boost and other protein drinks was all I could get down and some of them are nasty. The Gastro doctor said I needed a feeding tube. I went to 4 doctors and none would do it. I ended up in ER weighing 100 pounds, a general surgeon installed it. The nursing staff were following orders but were over feeding me and the tube leaked. I spent 15 days in the hospital where it should have been 2 at the most getting my diet plan worked out. I was able to take my heart related meds again through the tube. More doctor visits and test. Found that I have esophagus cancer that caused the tumor and my swallowing problems. Started chemo infusions the first of December 2024 every 2 weeks with a fanny pack or shoulder bag with pump for another 48 hours of meds worn home. New Year Day 2025 was my first meal, purple hull peas with cornbread soaked in the juice, very small bites. Only thing I ate for 3 weeks. I found that a lot of things didn't taste as good as they did in the past. Can't swallow canned or bottle soft drinks, milk or tea. Still gag on a few foods and drinks. I'm getting better, up to 138 pounds and doing all I can until I tire out.
