    Default Ruddock 2/27

Launched at Ruddock and fished south, brought 9 jugs hoping for bonus catfish.

Light wind and Surface temp was 64 at noon and warmed to 70. Fished cork @36" first then shallowed up next to the bank where it was clear of lilies. Fishing was slow, clouded up around 3. Caught 5 sacs, no cats and a locomotive garfish (5 footer) that still has my pink noodle in the main channel.

Thought it was going to be on yesterday, but sac fishing has been off this year at Ruddock - I just hope the sac spawn isn't over yet. When the perch bite gets started, I'll know sacs on the bank is done.

Fish around the stumps under the interstate in shallow water. Use a very shallow crankbait. The bass spawn under there. I used to catch many there. Also on the west side fish in the dead end canals. Don't just beat the bank. Be careful of gators. The canals with gator have crappie. Now this is from how it used to be. "D"
