Default A Bluegill and a Pond Monster

Hit one of my go to ponds yesterday, the water is still in the 40's here and the fish are inactive. Caught a bluegill on a power nymph with a crappie disc ( I like to pinch my nibbles into little discs and it just sits on top of the nymph so it l's a little less of a hump sticking up) but no other bites at that pond. So hit another one and waited almost 2 hours, was just about to pack up and leave when my medium rod bent over the dock ledge, ended up being a big ol channel cat. I wasn't expecting a bite but was really happy to land this beast, a day before my bday. And thanks to Crappie.Com for the happy bday email!!
