Default New Rig - Another Crappie Day …

I’ve wanted a Water Moccasin Boat for years and finally had one built for those short trips and ease of launching. Took Water Moccasin Outdoors 3 weeks to build after I placed my deposit.

Goes 6mph with the 45lb thrust trolling motor. Has a plumbed live well, under gunnel rod holders on both sides (6-12 rods), and I have the Lowrance Eagle Eye 9 Live Sonar installed with two lithium batteries and a switch.

I’ve fished in it twice now and getting everything dialed in. Going back out tomorrow morning to fish some docks about 50 yards from the boat ramp. So far, I really like it compared to the kayak that I was using for my quick trip boat.

    Here’s a few pictures:

    I like that!

Yes, I was talking to myself; sometimes even I have to ask for expert advice.

Thank you Sir! Moved the Live Sonar from the trolling motor to its own pole so I can see 360 degrees regardless of what direction the trolling motor is facing. That was huge for me. I’m really liking this little “boat”. Was in 20mph winds this past weekend tied up to some pilings and felt really stable and dry. I haven’t used my big boat since I picked this one up. Perfect for quick, solo trips.

Got out in the yak for the first time this season!

I've only had this Sea Ghost 130 since late last Sept. Luckily the weather stayed unusually warm deep into Nov. last fall, so I was able to get it out 15 times before it got too cold.

Today was spent mainly getting the procedure back in place for loading and loading, and stretching out long-unused paddling muscles. I spent about 3 hours on the water fishing flooded treelines and caught a few bluegill and a juvenile largemouth. No doubt I'll have to take a few advil tomorrow.

Have you stood up in the boat to fish or make a cast, curious about the overall stability of boat. I'm liking this one as well, but thinking it might be good for trolling, brush piles, docks, etc, even fly fishing, so any details about the stability is good to share.
    GO BIG ORANGE !

I meant to behave, but there were just way too many other options available at the time.
