I tied a few bluegill jigs this morning.
I've been playing around trying to tie some more bug looking jigs.
1/32 oz with #8 hooks.

jigs look good, but if you have a set up to throw lighter weights IMHO I do better at least when they are on bed with a lighter jig 1/48 american or most favortite .5 gm. Diawa Gejabekin. I know Randy would disagree as he uses mostly 1.5 gm. but for me the slower fall seems to work better. Fish, even shellcracker, bed shallow in my lake 2-4'. Scott

Very nice, at my easiest fishing spot they have been harvesting alarming amounts of huge Bluegill with worms while I have caught a few crappie,bass,Bluegill on 2" plastic, I bet those would change things.

I also tie them in 1/64 oz for the shallow beds and Cypress knees. I use a #10 hook on the 1/64 oz. They work well in the lily pads but I can feel the bite better with the 1/32 oz in the thick pads.
