Thread: 2/14/2025 My Valentine Flew To Houston So I jumped on my Boat!!

My Valintine for the last 50 plus years had the opportunity to jump on a private jet and fly to Houston Valentines morning to watch our grand daughters dance competition. Of course she jumped on that plane and I jumped on my boat.
The bayou water had cleared up but the temp was 61F compared to last weeks 70 F. I believe the spawn had started and that’s why I wanted to catch a few fish to move to my 1/3 acre pond. I figured if they spawn in my pond I’d have lots of Sacalait by simply adding a few fish at the right time.
Ended up with 16 blacks. Most were tacos but they all went in the live well. I did catch 1 nice white that joined the party as well.
All the fish survived over night in a big ice chest and my Grandson and I released them the next morning up in Franklinton on my 40 acre tree farm.
Hopefully Cupid draws back his bow and lets his arrow go!!
