Default Windy, cold, misty and muddy, but…..

Decided to brave the conditions yesterday to shed my cabin fever. Water was muddy. Long line trolled in 12 to 20 feet of water. Luckily I had one white jig head on black and chartreuse jig body and they kept hitting that one so I changed a few more lines over. That is all they would hit. Was slow but I got 19 between 6:30 and 11:30. Probably could have gotten a limit if I stayed all day but wind was getting too much for my aluminum vexus. Water temp was around 52. Fished Logan Martin. Water was muddy in main river and half way into most coves.

Great job, wind was brutal. It seemed the Crappie would bite if you could get something in front of their face they could see but that wasn't easy with the mud and wind. Thanks for sharing glad someone else got on them!

Congrats Jim!!! Good to hear you were able to get out and found them. I had to go to Atlanta yesterday, thought about you as I drove across Logan Martin. WTG

I had a heart attack on the 8th of Jan. Had to be airlifted to Birmingham. Scary but not as bad as it sounds. Just one stent. Freak thing happen in one vein leaving my heart. Caught in time. Make sure you have a blood pressure monitor. I wasn’t going to go to the hospital until I checked my blood pressure and it was 185/140.
