If not I highly recommend that you do. I use to be one of those people that thought it wasn't necessary and if you got it it was just sniffles and just feeling bad. Boy was I wrong. A few weeks ago I woke up in the hospital. I had no idea how I got there nor why. I have had heart problems in the past and thats what the docs concentrated on. But it wasn't heart problems, it was the flu. Seems one of my family found me incoherant, shaking and completely out of it. It took a couple of days before I started to come out of it. I still didn't know anything including where I lived let alone how to get there. When they finally did get me home nothing seemed right. I still didn't know where my bedroom was or anything else. I didn't dare drive anywhere as I still had no idea where I was let alone go somewhere. While in the hospital I kept dreaming that I was laying on some grass with a river on one side and some tall buildings on the other. Still don't know where that was. I eventually got over it and thing pretty much back to normal and I'm able to take care of my wife with her cancer treatments.

The docs told me had I not gotten the flu shot it most likely would have killed me. Major wakeup call. Why I decided to get it this year I have no idea but I am sure glad I did and you can bet your sweet bippy that I will continue to get it. So folks don't take a chance. After all its just a stupid shot and its free. I wouldn't wish for anyone to go thru what I did.

I forgot to mention that during all the testing they did find another partial blockage coming out of my heart. MRI to be scheduled to see whats going on with that.

GET THAT SHOT!! before you regret it.

Got mine today when I went to the clinic for my yearly Medicare "checkup". Normally I would have already had it back a couple of months ago, but I've had 3 different docs in the last couple of years & things just went unnoticed or forgotten.
