I’d go with 40s. I had 30s on my 20’ Lowe with a 115 and would often wish for more power. Swapping them to 40s this week since one of my 30s took a dirt nap.

About to order the game changer power brakes for my 2008 triton 186. Anybody got them on this model or similar?
Deciding on 30 vs 40 lb motors. My boat has no jack plate and im satisfied with performance of it now. I have a 80lb ultrex so im thinking 30lb should be fine.
All replys appreciated.

A lot like the old Wannabe... except with fewer bad words. And Karate chop action. But, yes, still purtier than you.

I’ve got 40s on a Ranger 620 Fisherman and they stop it fine. 30s should be plenty but no more than it costs to get the 40s grab those if you’re concerned. Chad is easy to deal with. My Power Brakes have been awesome!
I fished the 40s for the 1st time Monday and liked them over the 30s a lot more. They arrest my forward movement much better without over powering and jerking the boat.
