Past week fishing was red hot after the weather abruptly went from freezing to hot. Crazy foggy mornings with near 0 visibility but the morning bites were strong. Combo of longlining and jigging pads put plenty of fish in the boat.
freezer is full so we threw back all fish under 11” unless the got gut hooked.
had a blast and shared intel with icehouse whom I met on this forum and we connected on the water to swap fish stories. Landed one nice slab close to 16” middle of woodruff.

Looks like a relaxing day on the water. Catching fish was just a bonus.
Nice post Bud. Your catch's colors are fantastic.
Yeah Rojo St. John’s River specks are brilliant especially around the spawn.

Yeah hdhntr I live on lake George and fish all over this area. Gotta have a big toolbox cuz what’s hot today can shut off tomorrow. Been to woodruff plenty of times and didn’t find fish so then I’ll go to the main river and check the deep river channels. In my experience they are either in: shallow lakes, deep river or super shallow on the banks and in the pads. I generally can find them but occasionally they just get lockjaw cuz of weather.
